A couple of months ago I popped into Reed's to shoot some handguns with a few friends and walked out with a much lighter wallet because they had a KSG in Tungsten Gray in stock. Well, I went back the other day to shoot that KSG some more and noticed they had a Versa Max Tactical Competition in stock. Yet another shotgun that I thought I'd never see in person, let alone have the chance to own. So, now I'm anxiously counting down the 10 days until I take her home and seriously considering leaving my credit cards at home on all future visits to Reed's. I'll post some pics when I get her home.

How do you like that KSG? I've seen videos on YouTube and some reviewers mentioned that if you hold the shotgun is a certain way, the bottom ejecting shell can hit you on the arm and draw blood. Did you encounter anything like that?
And yeah, Reed's is a pretty nice place to browse. I was there last Fri to buy a 12 gauge bronze bore brush and there were many nice firearms on display.Comment

The KSG has been great so far. No one who has shot it has been hit by shells ejecting, which I was worried would be an issue. Not sure if KelTec made changes to the design or if those other folks were just unlucky, but I've run a variety of ammo through it without incident."I say we take off and nuke the entire site from orbit... Thanks, that is good to know. The KSG is one of those firearms I have on the back of my mind to get once the initial craze for them dies down. Something to keep loaded for home defense when my target shotguns are cased for a trip out to the range for trap shooting. Right now when my shotguns are cased, I'll only have loaded pistols for home defense. Need to get fix that when I have the chance.
Probably makes a nice toy to have blasting water bottles and tin cans in Los Altos too I would bet.
