Anyone know the actual difference between the two? Been searching the end of the interwebz and back to no avail.

One has a silver trigger and one does not... Otherwise, I can't find a distinct difference between the two and they both go on sale at different times.

Could anyone shed some light?

I would go with regular. The only problem with silver is they dont have removable forends. The action bars are pinned to the pump and there are no slide tubes.

Yes, the Mossberg 500 Silver has the silver trigger. That's about it. Well, that's what was explained to me from a guy at Big 5.
