    Stuck choke tubes?

I have a Citori that has stubborn tubes installed. I am hesitant to apply too much force to remove those older standard Invector tubes. What say you? Thanks...

If you don't have one pick up a can of PB Blaster and soak they up pretty good, should loosen them up and make for easy removal.

Heat the outside of the barrel, it'll expand quicker than the choke, afterwards you should be able to remove it.

Use your choke tool and apply as much force as the tool will allow...otherwise, find a gunsmith that can get it out for you. In the future, clean and lube the choke tube and threads regularly to avoid future issues.

PB Blaster...similar to but more effective than Liquid Wrench, WD-40, etc.

OP, I'd soak the business end of the barrels for a day in a can of PB, obviously as deep as the chokes are long.

Then remove the barrels, wipe off any residual PB, and heat the barrels in the choke thread area with a heat gun...I don't think a hair dryer will do.

Use a dab of Never-Seez when you reassemble.

All good posts above... Never had this issue, but to avoid this I'm going to apply a light oil to threads in future.

It's better to use choke grease instead of oil, lasts longer, more heat resistant

Kroil and a hair dryer has helped on other stuck items....

The hair dryer causes the metals to expand... they expand at slightly different rates that allows the KROIL to get in between the threads a bit better....

Use a small container. Fill it a couple of inches with Kroil. Put barrels choke end down into Kroil and let it sit overnight or all day. Then try the choke wrench. If that doesn't work try the hair dryer as another post has suggested.
Stay away from too much heat or force unless absolutely necessary. If you don't have Kroil try some other penetrating oil.
