Mossberg 500- Red Dot or Ghost Ring?

I'm picking up Mossberg 500 next week from Big 5.
Already have some farkles on order
    Knoxx SpecOps Stock
    Weaver rail
    Factory Ghost Ring sight.

Was doing some more research and it looks like GRS need some gunsmithing.
So, if I want to swap barrel I have to put a new sight?
What is opinion on Red Dot on shotgun?
Any recomendations on something up to $100?

    Thanks!

all the open class 3 gunners run either:
    -dr
    -j point
    -cmore
red dots on their 3 guns. what are you using your shotgun for? primarily HD? if so, i'd just run open sights (either the standard bead or a FO front site) and forego the work involved with adding GRS to a shotgun that didn't come with them from the factory.

      HD, target shooting, trap(maybe).
When I held it at the store it didn't feel right without the sights.

Red Dot. My cheapie NCStar on a Weaver Rail has stood up to over 2000 rounds and works just fine.

Which one did you get? Pictures perhaps? my company carries a limited inventory of NcStar red dots.

Do you have an open one or a tube one?

              It is this one
I've only rezeroed it once after a one day class where I put 1000 rounds downrange in 8 hours.
I should add that I do have the Knoxx Recoil Absorbing Stock on my Mossberg 500.

I have the cheap-o ebay solarforce 4 red dot on my mossberg 500, works fine...so far have about 200 shells downrange and it holds zero as well as i could expect for a shotgun.....however I might end up putting an ATI top-folder and ghost rings on the Mossberg and moving the red dot to then next shotgun...

its mounted on a UTG top rail, also from ebay

$27 for the red dot, $8 for the rail, <$40 total....
