Birdshot or buckshot?

No, this isn't another HD question about birdshot vs buckshot.

I saw this video on Youtube:


Its about this kid who has a someone whom he thought was a friend, ask him to drive him to a remote location, and then shot him 3 times with a shotgun (hand, chest and head) and bash his face with the stock of the weapon. Just so he can join a gang.

Amazingly, the kid who was shot survived.

Advance to 6:51 in the video, shows an X-ray picture of the pellets in his chest. The kid on the video says "buckshot" but the X-ray picture looks more like birdshot to me.

What do you think? Were those birdshots or buckshots?
