I get mine from the following places:
        - Gendermountain.com. Free shipping and no tax for orders over $50. I get their Federal Top Gun or Remington Gun Club (when its on sale).

        - Cabelas.com. They sometimes have free shipping offer and when they do, I check the prices of their Estate, Federal Top Gun and Remington Gun Club prices. You can sometimes get a case of Federal or Estate for $59.99 when they're on sale. My colleague buys the Rio shells and likes them.

        - BassPro. Sometimes they'll have free shipping but they will charge sales tax. However, this is sometimes offset by great prices they have on Remington Gun Club. They also tend to have certain lighter loads in stock (eg. 1oz target low recoil loads) where places like gandermountain.com and cabelas.com will only have the higher recoil loads available.

The standard question: What is bulk? 4 boxes, a case, a pallet, a truckload?

Many just buy the 100 packs of promo loads from walmart.

I like B&P, but haven't ordered any for a while. They may still offer free shipping if you buy by the case. They aren't cheap, but they pattern well in my gun. I haven't tried reloading any of the hulls yet. For the same price as AA shells (or often slightly less) you're getting a good quality shotgun shell with nice crimps and nice shot, that isn't an AA shell so you can be a special snowflake

I think the shotgun forum is relatively dead here because half of what we see are drive by "Hey, I was going to get a new shotgun, either an 8 shot 500 or a 7 shot 870 Express, which is better?"

That's usually followed up in a couple of months with "Hey, so I get an 870 express 7 shot security what sort of add ons do I need?"

Which is then followed up with "So I have this 870 express HD gun that I keep loaded with birdshot and a pistol grip, but they won't let me shoot it at the trap range, what gives?"

Which is then followed up by "So I'm looking for a trap gun…" By this time the poster has figured out that our particular shotgun forum rarely gets passed question number 4, and they go searching for a different forum.

Get them from whomever is offering sales and/or free shipping. Remington Gun Clubs are the best of the bulk for when it comes to a reloadable hull. For trap I like Estates if I'm not going to reload. Rios are often found at the best price point and shoot as well as any of the others.
Sometimes you can find Remington STS, Federal Gold Medals and Winchester AAs on sale, but even then they aren't exactly cheap---but I do like them in my old shotgun. I think the brass heads are easier on the extractors.

                  I reload
Once fired AA or sts hulls. There pickups or market place purchased
                  Spolar gold 1-1/8 wads.

Estate, Herters, Federal, rio...get whatever is cheaper. They all go bang in my a400

I wait for cabelas to have a sale. I am a club visa holder so every order i can use the five dollar shipping promo. No Tax so it makes it a good deal for me.

I buy in lots of 1-2k.

Any suggestions on what 12 ga. low recoil loads to get for an older full choke and where to get them?

Depending on how old you're talking, RST makes a lot of low pressure loads, along with 2.5 inch shells if that's needed.

Once a year, winchester usually offers a pretty decent rebate -- so you can stock up around then ($2/box back, up to $100 total was 2013's)

I usually just try to grab Remington gun clubs wherever I can find them for $60/case shipped to my door. I've had good luck with Gander Mountain's free shipping sales for this.

If bulk actually means ordering in 1/2 pallet or greater quantities, I've heard http://www.jswholesaleinc.com/ tossed around as a decent deal.

                              pallet?

what would a pallet consist of...?

don't think I have the storage for that. haha

thanks for all the tips. i'll give a few of those a try and see if there are any i prefer

i don't know what my definition of bulk was now that you mention it...maybe 50 boxes...if there's not much of a difference in price buy buying a ton i'll probably just get a case of 10 for starters

ps. i already have a stock regualr (no mag extensions or pistol grips) remington 870 and they let me use it at the trap range so i might have skipped all those questions. but maybe i'll go find another board for my future questions (shotgunworld maybe?). haha. thanks everyone
