    Mossberg 930SPX Tactical

    Shotgunners,

I am getting interested in an affordable semi-auto shotgun and this particular brand and model caught my interest. I am a handgun person and have never owned a shotgun.

My purpose in buying is HD and occassional range/field use for familiarity.

Are there plenty of aftermarket parts for this ? Easy/difficult to detail strip and maintain? Durable/fragile piece???

    Thanks!

Quality control is hit and miss, be sure to inspect the 930 before you transfer it to your name....

I have heard they are hard to find. I haven't seen any in the stores in my area. I have also heard the QC is spotty which sucks because Mossberg is a great company. I am a hand gun person also but I love my 500 Persuader 12 gauge (8 round model). It is easy to field strip and there are lots of little parts, there are some videos on the net that show someone breaking it down. As far as durability I cannot attest. I do know from personal experience the 500 series is extremely robust. Hope that helps.

I have one, unfortunately the LOP is a little long for me, so it makes it hard to shoot comfortably.

Been waintig for the Urbino stock to come out close to two years now.

They say May of this year... We shall see.

I probably would get a 930 once the Urbino stock comes out. To the OP, if you purchase one, check for a canted front sight, and make sure you maintain it.

I have e black water model, I was have an issue with low recoil ammo failing to eject after about 100 rds and a good cleaning works flawless and eats anything.

Love mine, ridiculously easy to work on, if you go so far to remove the bolt and carrier, tricky getting the legs back in, one of my favorite guns, sleep with it every night, heading out right now to shoot it, got lucky at WallyWorld yesterday........goin' to get all sluggy!
