AR 10 12ga shotgun upper

Getting ready to launch a 12ga upper I designed for the Ar10 platforms. Thought I would throw it on here for discussion and feedback. Right now the patents have been filed, and we will have a working prototype within the next few weeks. A rendering of the idea is attached. Also any input regarding legalities in CA would be appreciated as i'm in AZ - Thanks

Things I like in a shotgun:
1. Bead sight. I'm used to having a mid bead to check my gun mount but having just 1 bead on the front works too.

2. Ability to reliably cycle target loads.

3. Easy to field strip and clean. Being a AR based platform I'm assuming this won't be an issue. Hopefully the BCG and barrel will be chrome plated?

4. Easy to remove/install magazine plug (for hunting legally). Some tube fed shotguns are messy to deal with. Hopefully in your design, there's an easy way to plug/unplug the removable box magazine.

5. Bolt MUST lock open when gun is empty. Most semi-autos do but I think some AK based ones don't.

Armalite AR10 pattern or DPMS AR308 pattern? you picture looks like it is AR308, not AR10.

Cost.

minimum barrel length that it will function at with the supplied gas system?

Single stack 12ga mags are wide, will you be able to design one that is thin enough to fit in a AR10 receiver?

I know of two other companies working on 12ga DPMS uppers and they are both using modifed DMPS mags to feed the rounds IIRC.

IIRC, there was a 12g belt fed AR15 upper made a few years back.

I didn't elaborate just for the sake of simplicity, but it is my intent to offer for both the LR308 and AR10A&B lowers.

Yes - believe it or not 12ga shells will fit in a mag that fits in the 308 lower, i've been studying the Saiga, FAL, M14 etc etc mags for a while

I do plan on making a left hand eject model, and the Intrepid is a great idea, however special ammo is a deal breaker for me. The Rhino is obviously a quality looking deal, but i'm trying to bring all the above within a budget comparable to an average 308 upper and will be offering uppers by themselves

Sights are one area that will take some thought, being an AR a comparable sight is a must however some prefer a bead on a shotgun, so will try to offer an all the above approach on this

And for what it's worth i've had this idea for MANY years (as have others) and just decided it was time.
