    Winchester 1300 Marine value?

I have a Winchester 1300, full stainless, nickel plated, with wood furniture. I was considering letting it go to fund another adventure and I was hoping you guys could give me an estimate so I don't over or under value it.

As far as I can tell it's in perfect condition, unfired, but no box. This thing looks amazing and I really want to keep it but I could never bring myself to fire a shotgun that's in such good shape, not to mention being basically chrome inside and out. Serial number is F159xxxx which as far as I could tell dates it around 1983.

I actually like mine, heavy though, get looks at the range

I do not know value now, but I paid less than $200 for it (used) 6 years ago.

I've never seen them as low as $200, but from what I found recently they've been selling for $600-$1000+. I'm not expecting a grand or more since I don't have the original box, but if it's less than $600, I'd just keep it. This is the only one I've ever seen in person, and I don't recall coming across any for sale when I was looking for something nice.

If that sells for at least $450, I don't think I'm too far off by asking $600 or more.

$200 was 6+ years ago, things have changed alot, also mine has some "engravings" from previous owner, I call it my "South-Central LA" battlefield pickup.

here are a couple on GB

this one was sold several times for over $900, but I guess buyers did not pay.

I would price it between $650 to $900 for yours.

I bought a used, but like new, Winchester Stainless Police last year via gunbroker for $325. I bought it from the original owner who bought it new in 1999. According to the serial number, it was new old stock at that time as it was a 1983 vintage gun. Mine had a Winchester branded folding stock and nylon fore grip but I located some nice wood stocks on gunbroker and replaced them.

The receiver is constructed of aluminum. The gun is entirely nickeled with a muted, bead blast finish. They also made mirror finished guns but I think they were call the Mariners or something like that.

I sold a Mossberg Mariner 590 in almost like new condition about six months ago for approximately $450 on gunbroker.com. Different gun, but it might give you some point of reference regarding the value of your gun.

It's pretty hard to find Mavericks and Pardner Pumps for around $200 lately, so I think this is worth just a little more than that. I appreciate everyone's input but if you find another one for less than what I paid, I'll buy every one of them.

                            1) Request appraisals of a firearm. No pictures of course.

                            2) Receive appraisals that are lower than what you had already decided it is worth

                            3) Tell them they are wrong.

^^^ Words of wisdom. Put it on GB with a reserve. But your going to be a little more detailed on what you have.
