Coyote Valley - unexpected visitor

Wife and I were out shooting trap at Coyote Valley today when we suddenly noticed we have an unexpected visitor:



This little fella was pretty curious and wasn't afraid of the sound of gun fire going on all around him, he kept peeking out of his hole. My wife managed to capture a video of him too.


If you happen to be shooting at Coyote Valley, look for him at the trap field, between station 1 and 2 and close to the 16 yard line.

Bah! These little fellows are tear'n up the yard! Every so often I find one viciously mutilated (by a bird?) and guess who has to clean it up

I saw one at the range FOG uses for their classes at Prado. It's all fun and games till someone breaks an ankle.

I hate those stupid things. They do a big number on your lawn if you don't take care of them ASAP. We have a homemade trap that's killed MANY gophers and other burrowing critters; whenever a neighbor has a gopher issue they always come to us. We even make tally marks on the side of it for each capture/kill. :P
