    Maverick 88 stuck trigger group

Searched online and on youtube thoroughly for this, there's one other post on "taurusarmed" forum that asks this same question, but no one gave him a god answer.

Basically when I try to disassemble my Maverick 88, I take the barrel off, I drift the one little pin out that holds the trigger group, try to pull the trigger group out and it is stuck.

The trigger group pulls out maybe a couple of mm but appears to be stuck on something. I have successfully disassembled the gun once when I got it, reassembled correctly as far as I know (the gun could still be fired afterwards)

Now after I've fired it once (so it does work) the trigger group is stuck in there.

Anybody ever had this problem on a Mav 88 or Mossberg 500?
Posting here on the off chance someone has a good suggestion, most likely will just take it back to Turners and see if they can help me out. It's a pretty new gun.

maybe need to move the forend forward/back to release the trigger group. i pulled mine out not long ago to replace the forend but i can't remember much since it took all of a few minutes to do. pretty sure you just need to get the forend in the right position and it will pop right out. i wouldn't bother taking it to Turners. play with it and you'll figure it out.

Idk, I tried removing the trigger group with the forend in pretty much every position, with the safety on/off, with the hammer cocked/uncocked. I'll try it again though.

What's puzzling is that it feels like the trigger group is actually stuck on something, I can't imagine what could've been wedged in there to prevent it from coming out.

I have had a similar issue with in M1A, it had a little pin that liked to move and then catch when you try to remove the trigger group. Possibly take a bright light and shined it in to see if anything is causing an interference

The trigger group pivots from the back, forward. Pull up on the back and you will see that the front is clipped under the receiver in the front to hold it in place.

Reading the instructions will clear this up for you.

My CZ is the same way, You have to lift it in the rear and pull backwards to get it out!

does it have an aftermarket stock? sometimes those block the trigger group from being removed and need to be removed themselves to get the trigger group out. if not try the above advice.
