From clay/wing shooting to fish shooting?

I saw this other thread in off topic forum, about Chicago looking at spending up to 18 billion dollars to elimnate Asian carp, an invasive species of fish.

I'm thinking, since this type of fish jumps out of water when a boat approaches, I'm wondering if the authority will let us shoot them with shotguns? It'll be just like trap shooting, except we shoot fishes.
