    Finished my rem 870 build

Finished actually a while back, wanted to post pictures if anyone was thinking of doing something like this.

    Remington 870:
    Mesa Tactical High Tube Adapter
Mesa Tactical Endine Shot Stock Hydraulic recoil buffer mil-spec tube
Mesa Tactical SureShell shotshell carrier side saddle
    S&J Hardware 20.75 inch M1913 Rail
    Hogue OverMolded grip/pump
    Daniel Defense Iron Sights
    Magpul ASAP sling mount
    Aluminum follower (forget the make)
    VLTOR stock

That's like the longest rail I've ever seen on a shotgun. Can you still see the bead with that rail on?

No the bead is under the rail. Its actually easier to hit clay this way, for me it is anyway

That thing is a beast!! How much does it weigh compared to when you started? How many rounds total now?

It looks heavy. I'm not a huge fan of tacticool shotguns but all the parts you used are good stuff. Should make a good HD setup. What are you going to do with all that railed real estate? The LOP seems pretty short. A tacky rubber butt pad on that stock would probably be a good idea. Where is the light going to go?

Yes it is. It is defiantly heavier. But it's designed for range and home defense, I'm not taking this to war. I have a only a few hundred rounds down the pipe. It's fun shooting slugs

My friend feels the same way and shook his head the first time we took it out after he started shooting it he wouldn't give it back, and yes it is exactly built for HD and fun at the range. My TLR-1S is on another gun at the moment but it mounts on the right side of the 870 you can see the rail mount in the 2nd picture. The Endine Shot Stock Hydraulic recoil buffer solves the problem for the tacky rubber butt pad.

Very nice . . .If it were me though, I'd swap that L O N G rail for a pair of flip up front and rear sight or a Red Dot.

Very nice rig though . . . Magpul makes some cool stuff!

Does the TLR-1S stay on when shooting it?

I like it except for the rail, that's not really my thing

Yes but only fired about 50ish rounds through it with the tlr1s attached

I know I kind of went ape sh it with this. Before I had the full rail and dd irons I had just a trijicon reflex but had so much wash out I decided to just put on the irons/rail. It's really not as heavy as it looks. It feels like an AR when holding it.
