    Skeet suggestions

I am a college student who has been shooting skeet for several years now as regularly as my schedule allows, and I am wanting to purchase a new gun! I shoot a 20 gauge Mossburg 600 pump action, and though I can consistently score in the 20's with that gun, I would like to purchase an over under, preferably 12 gauge. I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions about what would be just a good, solid skeet gun for someone with a limited budget! Thanks!

You might check out the CZ brand; I've never shot one but heard and read good things.

Limited budget means different things to different people. What does it mean to you?

It depends on what limited budget is

However cz does have good double guns for the price. There are quite a few reliability threads over on shotgun world in the huglu subforum with one canvasback at around 30k rounds without any problems

If you're not dead set on an over under you can get more for your money with a semi auto.

Check out Tristar. Nice gun for the money, and a great value for a college student budget.

A Browning Citori, used would be a good choice.

I owned a lot of used shotguns and I never had a problem but I stay away from anything that belongs to bubba the wannabe gunsmith. YMMV

Sure, a Citori can be had on a college student's budget...if the college is Stanford or Harvard.

                    I like Beretta.
Over/Under and limited budget do not go together ;-).

You're going to get all kinds of answers unless you tell us what your budget is and what your preferences are.

CZ's seem to be nice and tend be found int $800 range for a O/U. If you double that, you can pick up a used Citori or Superposed. Other choices in that range are an SKB 585; maybe a used Beretta 68-series.

Otherwise if you're going to keep it under $1000, CZ's or an autoloader is your best bet.

You can get an used Beretta for about $1000, depending on how used it is.

Sometimes people want to part with their guns so badly you can get a like new one for about $1300.

Give Pacific Sporting Arms a call and they might be able to hook you up.
