I don't have a plug in my 12gauge. what if you just put in a couple of empties? anyone ever fashion a plug out of something? (browning bps in my case).

So no, two empties would not count. THere are commercial plastic plugs you can cut to fit, usually wooden dowel cut to fit work, you just need to good or experiment with the right length of that plug.

Wooden dowel...thats what factories use too
