Try Coyote Valley Sporting Clays, they have a nice selection of Browning. Better yet, you can pay $25 and demo one of the new guns on sale. You can take it out to the sporting clay, trap or skeet field and shoot it for 25 rounds.

Also, if you decide to buy the gun, you can use it in their range during your 10 day wait period. A rather unique offering by them I think.

Coyote carries o/u from Browning, Beretta, Caesar Guerini, and FabArm.

Anything higher end like krieghoff, perazzi, ... you will need to take a trip to socal.

You cant buy a P or K gun for 2K. maybe 6K, if you find one used. For a 2K budget, you can go to coyote and they'll hook you up

You need to hit up your local clay range and post a WTB ad...lots of folks have more than one clay bustin' shotgun and will let you try the shotgun out if you ask nicely.

Imbert and Smithers in San Carlos has a pretty large selection of shotguns including O/U, I've seen at least one trap range refer people to them. You could call them to see if they have a selection of what you are looking for.

                  ><

                  Places to shop

All of the above... + .Birds Landing Sporting Clays (Brownings).....Fishing Hunting and More in Vacaville have a good selection of midrange shotguns

That said ....thats where you shop .....personally I have not bought a firearm at a retail store in 20 years except the last days of the SF Gun Exchange.

There is so much more in price and selection elsewhere.

Sorry, apparently i wasnt clear enough. He will need to triple his budget for him to get close to one of those guns. If he can do that, more power to him. But if he meant he wanted to spend 5k, he would have said 5k. When he says 2k, that means he will go up to 3k maybe.
