    Will a 500 forend fit a 870

Will a Mossberg 500 corn cob forend fit a Remington 870?

No. Mossberg parts don't fit Remingtons. However, Mossberg makes an after market barrel for the 870 since they recognize the 870 being the number one selling pump shotgun in the world. But it is a Remington barrel made by Mossberg. So that may confuse some people to think something on a Mossberg would fit a Remington.

If you're going to a gun fight, take a shotgun. If you can't take a shotgun, don't go.

I figured it wouldn't fit but thought I'd ask before buying to experiment.

Kinda ironic that a person with "Google it" in their username didn't... you know... google it first.

Thanks guys. Here we have a resource available to seek information, render assistance or generally support one another and you two unfortunately have access to a keyboard.

See below. I would have actually answered if OP were talking about a model 37. OT, hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.

Actually, here we have someone with a user name directly related to a search engine.

They're also used to seek information, render assistance, and/or generally support one another AND share the answer once it's found.

Curiously, it's not used by the one directly related to it.

Try the first hit... Will a 500 forend fit a 870

Report back with what you find, and thanks for posting.

Getting flip with other members is one of the things that drive people away from forums. A guy ask a question because he does not know the answer and wants the answer from what he perceives as knowledgable gun owners. Instead he gets flip answers. As for the ones who gave those flip answers I bet if we could go back we would find some real winners from you. I hope no one here treated you like you treated the OP.

                  Yes. Some drilling required.

                      The preferred word is flippant.

Using the very last meaning in most dictionaries and thesauri seems to be lacking in respect and seriousness.
