max mag capacity for shotguns (ca)

what is the max magazine capacity shotgun i can own in CA? using it for 3 gun/hom defense, not hunting.

there is only a 3gun rules limit and a limit for hunting. Anything over 10 rounds goes beyond the typical 24 inch barrel.

There is no magazine capacity restriction in regards to CA's assault weapons laws.

There is magazine capacity restrictions in regards to CA's large capacity magazine laws.

Meaning...
If you are an exempt person and can legally obtain/make large capacity magazines, then there is no magazine capacity limit.

If you are a non-exempt person, then you are limited to 10 rounds.
Exemptions to this...
If the large capacity magazine was installed on the shotgun and you owned them prior to 01-01-2000.
If the large capacity magazine is a fixed tubular magazine installed on a lever-action shotgun.
