    Jesse Bird passed away

Long time California Sporting Clays shooter Jesse Bird as passed away.

    From Patty Miller:

    Hello fellow shooters,

It is with a heavy heart that I am posting that God came and got one of the angels of the shooting world this morning.........................Jesse Bird.

Jesse was a true gentle giant, a man full of wisdom, with a big heart, and always a kind word, he loved shooting and was one of the true gentlemen of the sport.

Please keep his wife Dee Dee in your prayers.

RIP Jesse, I will miss you, and I love you, now God will keep you in his care, shine down on all of us from above............my heart is broken.

    Jesse Bird

We totally loved Jesse. He took us under his wing way back when we were trap shooters and taught us this new game "sporting clays". John and I loved our Wednesday shooting with Jesse in mornings at Inland Fish and Game, then to lunch at Rosa Maria's...no onions for Jesse! After lunch we would all head down to Redland's and shoot sporting clays. We will sure miss him. Jesse always had a kind heart and generously shared his shooting knowledge.
Deedee, we are so sorry you have lost Jesse. Keep his memories alive, he was a great guy!

          Jesse Bird (1928 - 2014)

Jesse W. Bird, born in Oklahoma on March 14, 1928, passed away on January 2, 2014 at the age of 85. He was a resident of Palm Desert and spent the majority of his adult life in the Coachella and Imperial Valleys. He was a masonry and concrete contractor by trade, but also a master builder who could construct anything, from block walls to commercial structures and residential buildings.

He joined Indio Elks Lodge at the age of 22 and was a member for 63 years. At the age of 45 Jesse found the woman he would spend the rest of his life with. He took her by the hand, and for 40 years they walked through life together as they played, loved, laughed, shot, fished, hunted, and enjoyed life. - See more at: http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/the...900&fhid=10622
