ithaca 37 brought back to life

I found this ithaca in a local gunshop on there " as is " rack. Her wood was in pretty good shape, but her metal was rusted as hell (no pitting though) and she didnt wanna keep shells in her mag tube. A complete tear down, some tlc, some parkerizing from a fellow calgunner (he did a great job), some oil. I think she came back to a pretty decent field gun. I have to say I like my ARs and my 20" polymer stock mossberg, but there is something sexy about a wood and steel 12 ga. with a nice long barrel. Thanks for looking.

No I didnt take any before pics. I wish I had now. Also when I was putting it back together I wasnt really digging the pink front sight post they came with so i had a friend turn down a piece of brass to fit in its place.

Nice job on saving a bit of history.

Ithaca is back in business but they are pricy for a new one.

I must say the Stevens 350 (37 clone) I bought for my grandson has really impressed me and that bottom eject is pretty neat.

Great job. I love Ithacas and my police trade in M37. I do not understand why all of their stuff is insanely expensive now but they are quality guns.

Great looking gun, i just shot mine last weekend for the first time in years. They are great guns. My dad got it for me when i was about 10 or 11, and i was enamored with it right away with the nice woodwork and engraving on the case.

Park job looks great. I need to reprark an old Ithaca 37 PD gun, who did your re-park, if I may ask ?
