    All I want Is A Remington 11-87 or 1100

    Hi,
I took my daughter and new pup out quail hunting and now the search has begun. It is getting harder and harder to find the gun of choice here in Kalifornistan. I am looking for a Remington 11-87 or 1100 LT IN 20 gauge. If you have one collecting dust, give me a holler. Thanks a mil 909-969-3891

Good luck. My first shotgun was an 1187. Didn't quite balance right for me. But very solid and reliable.

Just buy it online, that's how I bought my first shotgun. I use www.gunbroker.com, but instead of placing my order directly at gunbroker.com, I called the vendor and offer to pay with check and they gave me a small discount.

You should try it, much easier than driving all over the place looking for the shotgun if you already know exactly what you want.

Just sent you a PM. I posted an 11-87 up for sale in the Marketplace.

I've got another but a nickel plated Sporting Clays version. The one posted is field gun.

Try going to your LGS and asking them to order you one. At the store I worked at, we didn't charge anything to special order a gun, but you had to pay MSRP up front.

I have the blued sporting clays 1187. Its a great gun.

Probably the softest shooting auto I've shot.

Yep I have the blued one also, I also have a Beretta 390 20 ga sporting clays I'd part with, shot very little and looks great.

I just bought an 1100 off gunbroker on monday. I expect to be shooting it next Wednesday (since it will not leave the FFL property, i can shoot it during the 10 day wait)

If you're still interested, I'm selling mine for 700.00 with the Remington Sureshot stock set in black, it comes with the wood stock too of course.

Just do yourself a favor and DO NOT stick your fingers in the receiver where the bolt carrier rides - it's literally razor sharp. Ask me how I know...

I now use a wadded up paper towel or patch and a plastic cleaning pick instead of my fingers.

I see quite a few 12 gauge 11-87's out there but not too many 20 gauge models... maybe it's just me, though. Do you think your daughter is pretty tough for her age? Honestly, the 11-87 is such a soft-shooting gun that I wouldn't hesitate to my buy my kid (if I had a kid) a 12 gauge model. It will leave you a little bit sore after a few boxes but it's not that bad, and I'm not a strong dude by any means. You could always throw a Limb Saver pad on there, too. I was thinking of putting one on mine just because...
