Yo guys i was wondering what u guys thought of a vepr 12? wondering if anybody had one,shot one or had anything good or bad to say about them......

It’s expensive to feed

I’m not going to lie, the mag lock sucks but I like mine. It’s a fun gun and that’s about it.

What did you want to know about specifically?

reliability most of all hahahha

I’ve only put about 100 rounds of slug (1600 FPS Win/1200FPS rem) & maybe 25 or so “normal” & low recoil 00 through mine - no problems. Standard fps bird loads cycle too.

It doesn’t like my 12ga trap but those are loaded uber light.
I've have some issues with low-brass, uber cheap, no-name stuff that I have lying around.

I haven’t put more through it because I a) lack the time & b) lack the slug ammo to finish “breaking it in.” It patterns fine and shoots out to 100rds without issue.

One of these days i’ll pick up a box of low recoil slugs and sit @ the range for an hour to really ring it out.

If you’ve got money to burn or you absolute, positively, have to have an AK in 12ga then I say go for it. If you’re looking for a semi for competition i’d stick with something else.

nice...right on....yea just got mine and yeah the mag lock is a little funny but to tell you the truth i have to jam the mags into place which I'm not to fond of.

What mags are you using?

I just pop ‘em in there.

Guys check your bullet button. They're a bit tight on there and the mag release catches onto the bullet button itself and drags it self on there. I bent my bullet button a little further down so the magazine release had more wiggle room and it made it a lot easier to load mags into my vepr 12
