    GaugeMate

Has anyone tried these adaptors for 12g pump shotguns? They are supposed to fit into the action so that you can shoot a variety of ammunition, from smaller gauge shells, to handgun and rifle ammunition.

Seems intriguing, but maybe a novelty/gimmick?

Went shooting with spartan DSK and he has some. They must be fed into the chamber of a pump one at a time. They work.

Interesting. Could be nice for trap shooting with 20g ammo

Have you seen those adapters that lets you use your AA batteries as C or D cells? These are similar, you insert the smaller shot shell into them which makes them fit 12 gauge chambers.

          Quite a niffty idea actually.

I have a set of 12 to 20 Seminole Chambermates. They work well in my Browning o/u

Holy smokes! Are you telling me that all folks had to do during the ammo crunch was to buy one of these adapters for their 12ga?

Wally's aisles were still swimming with 20ga.

              I'm assuming it'll work for a semi-auto (specifically a Benelli SuperSport)?

Their web site says they have products for pump action and break-action shotguns, but not semi-autos. I imagine in a semi-auto like the Supersport, you'll have to use it like a single shot shotgun and manually extra shell each time.

Talking about 20 gauge shells, nobody seems to like shooting them. Walmart shelves are always full of these. Wife and I are going to visit Weatherby's office next week to let her try a Youth model 20 gauge SA-08. If it fits her ok, I'm going to get one so that we'll have shotguns in both 12 and 20 gauges.

No, they only work in an o/u.

                    ><

Brad....never used them, do they actually work well enough to hit targets or just sent shot out the barrel?

As I shoot more, I'm starting to realize some of the pros and cons of O/U vs SA (semi auto). I think someone should start a thread on this...

Yes, they work well. In fact the only difference between them and a dedicated 20ga gun is they tend to get the 12g barrel pretty dirty.

If you're in So Cal you're welcome to try mine.
