    Best day yet

Had a great day at trap range. Shot 8 rounds. 6 24s. One 23. And one 22.

So how do I turn those 24s into 25s?

Were the ones you missed similar? As in far right or left?

No. Couple flinches. But only 2 out of 200 shots. And just couple misses. And one hit that just didn't chip clay. Only slept 2 hours last night. But for some reason I shoot better when I'm really tired.

Very nice! And how on earth do you find time to shoot on a Monday?!? I wish I can do that, have to settle for weekend shoot instead.

Yea. Left handed. Had lousy night of sleep. Work 6 to 12. Helps to be self employed. Had a can of red bull. Shot 8 rounds. Came home and now can't get out of bed!

When I shot my 25 I had no sleep either. Insomnia sucks. I'll try 2 cans of red bull next time.

Nice shooting! If you keep shooting like that, it'll come naturally when you're not thinking about it. It's cliche, but be in the moment and take them one at a time.

Sounds like a great recipe for success.

Have a Plan, One bird at a time, Look only at the bird, Trust, No Hesitation.

Your flinches are most likely caused by "checking your barrel". Your subconscious brain doesn't see what it expects to see when you check your barrel, and therefore doesn't know what to do, so it won't let your finger pull the trigger, hence, the flinch.

Well said. One of the things I'm still grasping is trusting my subconscious to guide me to the bird.

Otherwise great shooting midlife. If your ever up in the IE give me a heads up, I'd love to come out and shoot with you.
