    Remington rebate

Over the summer I bought a new remington 870, at turners with a $30 rebate. I did mail it back to remington. Did anyone else make the same purchase? If so did you get the rebate, and what did it come in? Before I call remington, just wanted to know if I am the only one waiting, or is this normal. I hope the wife did not throw it away, because it looked like junk mail.
    Thanks for any info...

I did not participate in the rebate, but I know that Remington has a rebate status check webpage at remington.rebateaccess.com. You might try that before waiting on hold.

It comes in kind a paystub type deal where you tear off the sides.

I had sent on in for a R700 Varmint earlier this year. They're really slow and I remember it taking months before I got it.

So, I made 2 calls to remington, made 1 fax and my rebate is on the way. Remington is great! And a shout out to Jill the lady who helped me!

I mailed my rebate in about 3 weeks ago... I check the rebate status site every day and still nothing yet...

Picking up an 870 right before CHRISTMAS.
It is marketed with a rebate also. I will plan on not holding my breath.
            Time will tell.

All mail in rebates are slow. I bought an 870 with the rebate a few years ago from Big-5, It takes a very long time for the check to come but it will show up. I had forgotten about it and didn't know what it was until I opened the envelope. Luckily I didn't throw it away!

a mail-in rebate sale attracts paying customers, especially when the rebate can be used in addition to a discount given at a store sale. after making a purchase that is highlighted with a mail-in rebate, many customers do not follow up with the little bit of effort required to actually receive the rebate. the manufacturer knows this. even if the customer follows up and sends in the mail-in rebate, the manufacturer still made money and has generated future business.

Does anyone know if the rebate will work with a 870 Police model?

Or is it strictly a express model?

                    Anyone had prior experience? Thanks.

states express models only. guess there's no harm sending It in if you've already bought it though.

When I bought my Rem 700 there were a handful of other Rem rifles/shotguns with a rebate that were not advertised in the store. Always worth a shot, the website should list all the current rebates they offer...

The reason they do it this way is that many buyers consider the rebate when they purchase and some use it to justify a purchase. Some will never send it in and that is money the manufacturer saves. Being a Dealer I got an Versa Max for a Friend back in September and it comes with a $100 rebate. I gave him a rebate coupon with his receipt. I saw him last week and asked if he sent it in and he said not yet. Not Yet? $100. It has been right at three months. He said he has been very busy and trying to get his new shop built, ect, ect and so on. I bet he forgets.
