    CLOSET FIND..WHAT'S SHE WORTH?

    Hi Guys,

Echo1 scores again! Came up on a Winchester 120 Ranger for dirt, 12ga, 28" ribbed modifed tube, 1/2 box #8s run through it once upon a time (got the rest of the box of shells too). Been stored in a closet 30+ years. As new/excellent condition. Looking to use it to help fund a Filipino .45. I normally don't move any acqusitions, but I'm in the broke mode or I'd just buy the .45 out right. I put some feelers out for $300 and have a nibble. What say ye? PAX

300$? Decent price Ive seen abused 1200's go for 50-75 bucks more, like everything in the gun market prices fluctuate.

I think it would sell fast since a lot of my friends are buying there dream longguns before registration, I know I am!

May I ask why Rock Island?

      Pacheco,

Yes, as the years' end approaches, we'll be seeing yet another feeding frenzy. Since I've posted this inquirey, the nibbler bit and took it for $300, which is more than it cost new, when Winchester stopped production. The buyer is gun savvy and knows he can get a used pump for cheaper, but this one is in great shape, and he knows he's helping me out towards a .45. The cost for a new bare bones .45. RI has seemed to be the lowest priced I've found locally, $450. Thanks, PAX

Forget it. It's too nice, so I'll justkeep it and save up for what I want. Maybe Santa will bring it. PAX

Out here, that's usually a $250 gun, but lately, I can't tell. If you put a pistol grip on it and chopped the barrel, it could be a $350 tactical gun.

But should someone do violence to you, retaliate without hesitation, without reservation, without quarter, until you are sure that he will never wish to harm - or never be capable of harming - you or yours again.
