So anyone who knows about the Benelli M4 H2O (model 11711) knows how bad *** this (could) be (if we were not in CA). Came with the NP3 finish, SEVEN round mag tube and the collapsible stock/pistol grip combo.
They announced it at Shot Show a while back and people lined up to pay $2300 for what was supposed to be a "limited run." Recently you could find one of those that was "like new in box" or "lightly used" with a starting bid of ~$3000 and ending up selling for almost $4k. Booo!!!
I asked the guys at Europtic.com if they would be getting any soon and they flatly told me "yeah, um, no! they will not be importing anymore of 'those'."
Apparently, Benelli thought that refinishing them with the NP3 coating in the US made them "not" imported and immune from 922R, and apparently the Bureau of @s$ Tickling F*(&sticks said "no" to that line of logic.
I got the 11707 and the Urbino stock and the FFT 7rd mag tube, and NOW I see on gunbroker that they are selling the Benelli M4 H2O.... BUT it has the craptastic stock and limited 5 rd mag tube with a price tag of $2300. Model number is 11718.
Meh, at least we can get that one here, but not sure it will be worth the +$600 just to be able to say "Bite my shiny metal Benelli M4!"
Though, it does look like something that would make Dianne Feinstein soil her depends.
