    utas uts-15

Just picked up a uts-15 and can't wait to take it out to the range. Any opinion on what ammo to use to break it in

Plenty of dummy rounds, so you can safely practice loading, racking and switching tubes. (Looks tougher in videos than it should be.)

Next thing you know OP is posting here asking how to fix his UTS-15. Haha, just kidding, eh ok not really. It should be an awesome range gun. But I see when it is used for running and heavy use that it will break in some of the plastic parts. But have fun and enjoy the gun OP.

The gun doesn't know what it's shooting, so it makes no difference.

I have a gen 2 and it's horrible. Just about every malfunction known to man occurs in the damn thing. If I can get 3 shots off without a malfunction I'm jumping for joy. My 2 other friends whom I convinced to buy them want to strangle me. We are 0 for 3. All 3 suck big time. All 3 will be going back to UTAS at some point. I guess we'll find out how good their customer service is.

Others have had no problems with their gen 1's or gen 2's. I guess we were just unlucky. But 0 for 3 is unacceptable.

Apple to oranges maybe but my Benelli M1 had some issues that I found had to do with holding the pistol grip too tight. The non-pistol gripped ones run great so I started loading the grip and it runs great. Mine is a Beretta import and my buddy has the HK one and both will fail if you start pushing forward on the grip when firing. It takes the recoil off your shoulder but it won't run 100% that way.

I was gonna get this gun before the M4 til I read reviews of it malfunctioning here and there. Most of them are the shells are getting stuck on eject. I would sell it now and get a better and a more reliable option.

This is a very good timing for me... I love all things bullpup(!) and I am looking for something handier than my ultra-reliable 590A1. l After looking at KSG's and UTS15s I am really on the fence for my next shotgun with the debate currently sitting between the UTS15 and building an 870 bullpup kit.

I am still waiting for a semi-auto bullpup shotgun.

                              ^This!!!

An affordable one that isn't ugly at least. Currently there's the SRM 1216, but it's ugly has hell and expensive. If UTAS came out with a semi-auto version of the UTS-15 and it actually worked, I'd be all over it.
