I have been looking at a light mount for my m4. I have found a few and was wondering on reviews or opinions on both of these or any others people have used..The BLAM4 or the Elzetta swivel mount.

Old school, elegant, and works well.

what light are you using?
I use TLR-1's,, easy switch from pistol to shotgun, so the BMT is working very well for me.
The MOD-C for sure, if you are using a Poly Tac type of light. Very low profile, contoured edges. QD sling swivel too.

Nordic Components makes a nice rail/barrel clamp.

I make and sell hundreds of magazine clamps per month, and let me tell you the biggest problem with them is how you now need a tool to remove the shotgun barrel. If you don't need to clamp a magazine extension to the barrel, for security, then you might want to look at other solutions. Obviously, there is no practical purpose for a magazine clamp for a Benelli M4.
That being said, with the Benelli M4, because it has a raised front sight post, you could use almost any magazine clamp to secure a one inch diameter light directly to the barrel, like this (sorry about the huge image):

See, that's a magazine clamp for a Remington 870, clamping a one inch diameter light to the barrel. this works because 12 gauge magazines are an inch in diameter, and so are many lights.
We have been running this setup on one of our Benelli M4s for years, even in classes. It works very well and has the following advantages:
1. It's light and streamlined;
2. There is no need for a Pic rail or a light mount;
3. You can remove the barrel without tools at any time.
Any of the magazine clamps mentioned in this thread should work in this way. Try t get one without a rail because you won't need a rail.Originally posted by cockedandglockedGetting called a DOJ shill has become a rite of passage around here. I've certainly been called that more than once - I've even seen Kes get called that. I haven't seen Red-O get called that yet, which is very suspicious to me, and means he's probably a DOJ shill.Comment

The MTR would probably work if you are concerned with removing the barrel and leaving the light mount. They weigh under 2 onces, include a sling loop, a QD swivel cup and will hold your TLR light. The picture shows the MTR on a Mossberg 590A1 but it should work on a Benelli. You only need one screw to remove it and you can keep the light on the mount if you want.
