    Wich 930spx to get.

I'm going to buy a mossberg 930spx. I'm having a hard time deciding on wether to get the pistol grip or the standard stock. I've handled both at the store and to me the pistol grip feels much better. One thing I didn't like though is that the safety is on the top and I can't reach it with the pistol grip. With the standard stock I can manipulate the safety with my thumb. Wich stock do you guys prefer?

The Mossberg tang safety works a lot better with a standard stock, and looks better too, IMO.

I am pending a trade for standard stock 930 SPX. I believe the standard stock is more recoil friendly. Lots of videos on you tube, check out the muzzle rise. But nothing beats actually shooting one! My chance is coming soon.

Biggest issue for me is what Standard said: Tang safety just doesn't work all that well with the pistol grip stocks. With a pistol grip I would MUCH rather have a cross bolt safety @ the trigger guard (Remington 870, Winchester SPX, etc.). And I have large hands, so I can usually get to the safety regardless of its location. But not on a PG Mossy.

Remember - you should be in the habit of leaving the safety on until just ready to pull the trigger (at least that was how I was taught). Having to move your hand off the PG to unsafe the gun, then back to the PG and get your finger onto the trigger is not a set of movements I want to have to make during a HD event.
