Parkerizing is one of the most durable finishes you can get.

Matte bluing is what all bluing looks like before its polished. Its not nearly as durable as a parked firearm. If the gun will be exposed to moisture, weather , or humidity then park is the way to go.last year I picked up another 500 and I was determined to find a parked one so I special ordered a 50578.
