    BASCHIERI & PELLAGRI

    Is this stuff decedent ammo?

It's expensive from their site, but sometimes it shows up at a discount on other sites. Like $65 case for their competition 1 brand in 1 oz loads for trap.

    Thanks.

I shot a bunch of it last May on a Sporting clays trip. Got it at Cabela's for $64.00 a flat on sale. Shot 2-3 flats of it. The shells worked fine. I wouldn't overpay for it. I would buy more at that price.

So what brands are worth paying a premium for? It looks like Rem STS and Win AA run about $2.50 box more than bargain stuff.

          Is it really worth it?

Back east you can sometimes get AA's for 70-80 a flat. When you factor in reloading the hulls, yes, it's worth the extra few bucks.

As noted if you reloading these AA hulls really go far & reload easy.

If you week new shells once shot, what is reloading cost per shell not including press. Just basic supplies.

I still have a 100 pounds of shot, 1000+ wads, 1000+ primers and powder
Use this chart to figure your cost.

I cannot believe it, I repriced the components I use at today's prices and could not believe how the prices have gone up! I may not be able to recommend reloading in today's world. If I could find shells around $6.00 a box or cheaper when compared to AA's at close to $10 a box.

But that said try to always buy the same brand what ever it is because when all this settles down, you will want to reload and it's so much easier when you are dealing with just one brand.

I am hooked on Fiocchi. The 1 oz 1300 fps are great. They don't pound you like Winchester. To me, worth the price.
