Took my Benelli SuperSport out to Reeds Indoor Range today to test it, this is my 1st shotgun (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/s...d.php?t=836247) and the shot pattern is pretty interesting to me.
I fitted the barrel with the Modified choke (*** in Benelli's choke coding) and shot some Glow Shot targets. The target area is 15x10 inches (width x height). All shells ejected and cycled without issues.
Here are some pics of the shot pattern from the few different loads I used today:
Federal Heavy Field Load. 2 3/4inch, 1 1/8 oz.shot, 8shot.

Winchester AA Light Target Load. 2 3/4inch, 1 1/8oz, 7.5shot

Just for the heck of it, I also tried out some Winchester Super X. 3inch 00buck with 15 pellets. I got a sore shoulder from shooting these.

The pattern from the Winchester #7.5 bird shot seems little tighter, but the Federal #8 bird shot seems to spread out very nicely, giving you an even circle.
The 3 inch Winchester 00 buck shots with 15 pellets are pretty grueling to shoot, but they are amazingly accurate even out to 25 yards. You can see in my target 1 pellet hit the bullseye and 4 others within the 3-inch inner area. 13 pellets hit an area of 9x6inches and there were 2 flyers. I should try to find some 2.75inch 00 buck shot and see how they compare to these.
