    Low-buck ammo pouches

$5 at Wally World. These make a handy pouch to carry five rounds in an unobtrusive way. Maybe a solution in search of a problem...

Pretty nifty. What are they originally intended for?

being a bit of a gear-whore myself, i have a special affection for shotgun shotshell carriers/pouches. i've got em all... from the late Bruce Nelson's shotshell belt carriers to OldSchool LBT. i don't care if there's not a problem, i've got the solution. the pouch you've shown would do well in a bob.

Looks like cell phone or camera pouches.

X2 on the BOB. Nice way to store things and keep organized.

i like some of the stuff in molle that Eagle Industries has put out, and some by other companies, as well. there are numerous companies that offer quality gear in molle. you can personalize and fine tune your setup with the right molle gear.

your Condor example is similar to an OldSchool LBT silver label (1990-1995) shotshell carrier i've wanted for awhile, except the LBT example uses Alice Clips and doesn't hold as many rounds. it has a velcro assist closure, and when opened there are 3 sections containing the shotshells that are accessible to the user. this square shape setup allows for a good number of shotshells to be housed in a compact carrier. i've only seen a few examples of this particular LBT carrier and recently saw one on an online auction. i was going to bid at some point of the auction, but the seller pulled the carrier from auction.

Not into zippers at all. I live by the beach and every damn zipper I have gets stuck with corrosion and sand and does not open when you expect it too. Will not trust my life to a cheap zipper. I prefer a velcro pouch, actual shell holder or a drawstring pouch. Plenty of velcro style camera pouches that will work just as good with less moving parts to fail if you really need to save a buck.
