    Missing bead

Had lousy day at trap range yesterday.

Just looked at my 1187 and noticed rear bead is missing.

Could this have thrown me off.

Where do I get replacement. And if I want to bring point of impact up, should I get higher rear bead.

I know I should be looking at bird. And will do my best to make it to a clinic soon.

    Thanks.

Sorry. I think missing part is called mid bead. Front one is still there.

Saw replacement at brownells. Could this really have thrown off my shots?

If the gun fits you properly, it shouldn't make a difference. If you want to raise the point of impact, raise the stock, if it's adjustable. If it isn't, moleskin on the stock is an old method.

For your bead, check with a local gunsmith. The ones I used to go to, always had an assortment on hand.

Just curious did you have a chance to pattern it before you shot some trap?
