    1187 Pattern

I'm planning on hitting the range next to see where my gun patterns. But does anyone know offhand where a factory 1187 sportsman field with modified choke will pattern. Will it center where beads are aimed? Higher? lower. Thank you.

That's one of the purposes of patterning, to find out.

Ideally, an 1187 should shoot flat.

Shoot it like a rifle at a patterning board (use the beads like rifle sights) and you'll get an idea of where the gun shoots.

Next, shoot it at the patterning board without looking at the beads (Both eyes open, hard focus on the patterning board), and you'll get an idea of where you shoot.

Well it shoots right at where I've been aiming it. It centers where the rib is pointed. Not high or low.
