    Saiga-12 question

Is my understanding of CA laws re: shotguns correct in that combining the Tapco Intrafuse Saiga T6 stock set with a Saiga-12 results in an illegal assault weapon?

Yes, Virginia, there is such a thing as a gun-toting Liberal....

I went through the CA Shotgun Ban ID flowchart and the last two questions that pertain to the Saiga-12 were:

      13. Does the semi-automatic shotgun have a folding or telescoping stock? Yes

      14. Does the semi-automatic shotgun also have a pistol grip that protrudes conspicuously beneath the action of the weapon, thumbhole stock, or vertical handgrip? Yes

What is the procedure and is it easily reversible?

Not sure how difficult it is. Never done it myself. I would think you'd be better off having a gunsmith do it. Can be done for around $25 (per riflegear's service prices). I doubt it's easily reversible though. Possibly even welded. I would think that if it's too easily reversed then you may run afoul of the law.

I was referring to a shop called Riflegear. Check them out at riflegear.com and give them a call. It's probably far from you, but at least they could explain the process.

Ooops. There is a user whose handle is "Riflegear." And yeah, Fountain Valley is way down south.

                  Thanx for straightening me out.
