Switch out 20gauge for 12 gauge

Would it be possible to change my 20 gauge barrel on my shotgun to a 12 gauge? Would it work?

Probably not the receivers will be different, the 20 ga is smaller. if it was the other way you could use a insert.

That's a picture of the 12 gauge barrel. It looks exactly the same as the 20 gauge one I have. From the way this clips on the the receiver to the screw in the middle of the barrel. It looks exact! But I'm just trying to get an idea of if I purchase this what's the likely hood it will fit to my H&R
