Trap ammo for 12 gauge 1187

Picking up tomorrow. What ammo does this gun like for trap? Will it cycle any 7.5 or 8 target loads?

Yes lol it's more about the dram. Those universal 4 packs at Walmart are great. Just don't load the extra extra light stuff especially loads marked "low recoil" that stuff is not intended for autos.

k. I ordered a case of 3 dram from Bass Pro. But the rest of my stuff is 2.75 dram. Will that work?

I guess I can load them one at a time if need be.

I need to wait till Sat and Sunday for the trap clinic at our outdoor club. Can't wait. If I'm 6'2", 200lbs should I be worried about the recoil. I shoot only .22 now!

No way just put your weight forward to the front foot and keep the butt high in your shoulder pocket and it should feel good. If it's bitting you in the cheek you may need to make some adjustments but I'm 6' 2" also though a lot heavier but that gun fits well.

Thanks. Brought her home. Shot about 10 rounds at range. It likes light and regular loads!

What does high in shoulder pocket means?

Good to hear! That means hold the gun up high, don't scrunch over into it. Kinda like the saying bring the gun to you don't bring yourself to the gun. I tend to put about half the butt pad on my shoulder and half off. There's a lot of things the top dogs say lol it can get confusing.
