Mossberg 500 Security Model Question

Hey people,

So I bought a Mossberg 500 20in 8 shot barrel security model and I have some questions for anybody who owns one

1) Is the forend removable? I want to customize the forend

2) Can a 6 round tacstar side saddle fit on the gun? I heard on some models that the side saddle gets in the way of the pump action

I removed my forend. Same gun as you. I installed a rail on it, then slipped it back on, screwed the nut back on. The biggest part is unscrewing and screwing on the nut. Do not crossthread it and that can be done if you are not careful.
