    Shotgun with AR grip?

    Hey guys,

I am planning to get a shotgun in the near future and I'm wondering if there are any shotguns out there that has the ability to accept different AR grips. I injured my shooting wrist about a year or two ago and I am suffering from permanent ligament/joint damage. I basically would feel intense wrist pain if I use any grips that are not as straight as the BCM ones. Any ideas? Thanks!

Not sure of any that do default from the factory but I think the Mesa Tactical stock adapter can take different AR grips.

I guess the first question is what kind of shotgun are you planning to get? There are shotgun uppers that go on AR15 lowers. A Saiga shotgun in any gauge and an AR to AK adapter would work. Then, there is the MKA 1919. After that, there might be aftermarket stocks for some models that will accept AR grips.

I'd suggest avoiding a pistol grip shotgun if you have a weak/damaged wrist. (or perhaps, wear some padded gloves to absorb some of the shock, if you have to use a pistol grip)

I would advise against Mossberg. I have a 590 with the ATI Talon "system" which I like a lot. Unfortunately the tang safety on the Mossbergs makes them difficult to use with a pistol grip.

That being said, you might want to look at the ATI. The Scorpion recoil system does a pretty good job at reducing perceived recoil (http://www.atigunstocks.com/content/...-recoil-system). I have fired 3" slugs out of mine with no issues.

The Second Amendment is a doomsday provision, one designed for those exceptionally rare circumstances where all other rights have failed - where the government refuses to stand for reelection and silences those who protest; where courts have lost the courage to oppose, or can find no one to enforce their decrees. However improbable these contingencies may seem today, facing them unprepared is a mistake a free people get to make only once.
