wolf ammo, san jose

i have been hearing that wolf ammo is the cheapest and best ammo i can get for my new Mossberg 500. I have been looking online for a few days now but everywhere i have looked they were sold out.

I was curious as to why, and if anybody knew where the bet place to get some ammo in san jose was.

well im in sacramento right now
but i pick up my new shotgun on friday and then im going to san jose to drop my dad off at the amtrak saturday so i will be there this weekend. so i will definitely check it out to see.

I have never heard anyone say Wolf is the best. Maybe the cheapest, not anywhere close to the best.

well a few people firends have
and a lot of reviews online have said.. there pistol ammo sucks but their 12 gauge ammo rocks, and whatnot so it seemed to be pleasing some people

i get all my shotgun ammo at walmart.
100 rounds of either 20 or 12 ga for $20.83
remington 7.5 or 8 shot
good stuff.
.22 is cheap there as well!

where is a good shotgun range in the san jose area?
i want to test my first gun out while i am there

reeds is the best place to go in sj. no longer a big fan for tm west

If you want indoors, Reeds is good. If you want outdoors, Los Altos is a good bet - they have both the tin can range, which is great for slugs into milk jugs, and a do-it-yourself trap range.

From what I remember, Reeds only allow you to use Buckshot or Slugs.

If you just want to "pattern" your shotgun with target loads or whatever, the Santa Clara County Fields Sports Park has a little section where you can pattern your gun on a special target stand. They also have several trap ranges, but I've never tried it.
