    .410 Skeet?

Anybody else shoot .410 Skeet? It adds a new dimension to shooting Skeet. I use a Remington 1100 Sport and a Stoeger Condor O/U with AA #9 shells!

I've shot trap with both my 870 and 11-48 in .410. It is truely a humbling experience.

I've shot a few rounds of .22lr shotshells from my Remington 121 Routledge (smoothbore .22) on station 6 on a skeet field. I was surprised that I could break clays with a .22lr shotgun shooting #12s!

I've owned three different .410 skeet guns, I don't own any today and plan on never buying another. They are just to humbling.

I was just using my wife's mossy 500 .410 with a full choke in skeet this weekend using 9 shot. I shot a 18 and a 19 in 2 rounds Olympic style. I was pretty proud. Although i did forget to rack it a couple times during doubles because im used to my 12g 1100.

Wife does well with a Winchester slide in .410.

She's humbled several of my bird-shooting buds...me included.

I've done skeet with my Browning 4bbl set (haven't had it out of the safe for 20 years) and trap with a modified 870. We had a trap league that used .410 for 50 targets. Never did run'em. Closest I got was 49.

Most of the guys at the club I'm in shoot nothing larger than 20ga. two or three are religiously 410 or 28. One in particular shoots perfect games all day with his 410.

                A grade 3 win 1942 no less.

410 has a certain mystique to it. The round is inefficient and low powered the guns are PRICEY as all get out and you really need to know what you're at when you swing.... BUT, they truly are an experts gun.

Hunting with them can be fun as well.

49 out of 50 is some crack shooting.

LOL. I've been told by a mutual friend (Mike M. who I shoot 50s with) that my dad should stick with his old 302 12g instead of switching out guns so much. But, yea, he does like his 16s and it made me get a couple to play.

BTW, he has my "Young" 2 shot trap gun right now. If you've never seen it, ask him to bring it out sometime. Except for the stock being cut for a modern recoil pad, it belongs in a museum.
