21" Benelli M2 Field - Nordic Components mag extension question

I just purchased a 21" Benelli M2 Field yesterday, and one of the first things i'd like to do is install the Nordic mag extension. I've been doing some research and it looks like if i get the +5 extension, the mag should sit flush with the barrel. The "Field" model comes with a mag capacity of 3+1, so with this extension, it would put me at 8+1.

Just wanted to get confirmation from the experts here before i made the purchase.

    Thanks!

I have the M2 and yes with the +5 extension it sits near flush. It actually sticks out about an 1/8".

Sorry this is the only pic I have of my M2, its the middle one

If your magazine extension tube sticks out too far in front of the barrel, the muzzle blast will eventually wear the finish off, that's all. 1/4" wont hurt anything.

I have a nordic +1 sticking off the end of my M4 which pokes out about 2 inches past the muzzle.

After a couple thousand rounds it hasn't so much "worn the finish off" as "covered the top of the extension with some kind of carbon/plastic residue crap". This seems to be protecting the finish from the blast or something.
