Best way to remove benelli stock?

I have the older pistol grip stock with the two screws in the buttpad and I was wondering what is your method of removing them without stripping them? (I came pretty close)

The rubber really makes it a pain the behind for me.

There may be mud or crud in the screw slots, clean that out then use a correct fitting screwdriver.

Add a little lube to the shaft of the screwdriver, the pad won't stick near as much.

You must be using wrong size screwdriver. I've taken mine off numerous time in 10+ years including this am. Its good to clean it down to removing the recoil spring every year.

Thanks for the advice guys, I forgot which one of my many screw drivers I used but ill double check the size before I reinstall.
