    930 lop suggestions

    Hi all,

I'm considering a 930spx for fun. I recently got a 590a1 and found the lop too much for me, and switched it out for a hogue with a shorter LOP. I've read a few threads about a potential new Mesa stock, but it's supposed to be expensive (I'm looking for the standard, non-pistol grip version), and there's not much to cut due to the recoil tube.

I'm 5'8" with a 32.5 inch sleeve length. Am I going to have problems with the 930? I'll have to get to a LGS to check it out myself, but what solutions are there? Should I consider a different semi? I like the 930 for price point, and safety position (I'm lefty).

    Thanks.

I dont think you'll have the same problems with the 590a1 and 930 spx. That is due to the fact on a 930 SPX you're able to hold the forend further back more towards the center of your body so you don't feel like you're too extended on your support arm.

Also, you can try out the Chaote stock, they have three different adjustments on it as well. Shorter and longer LOP with the change the recoil pad.
Bounce a ball in Football that's a fumble. Baseball, no bouncing at all. Bounce a ball in Hockey, well that's a mandatory drug test right there...

Where are you located? I have mine for sale and you can also hold it.
I'm lefty also, and the safety on the tang makes it ambidextrous.
I replaced my safety with the ETA safety and is SUPER easy to manipulate now.

930's are great. I didn't get the spx. I got the HS with the breacher and standard stock. I'm also 5'8 and just attended Grey Ops shotgun class and it preformed great. Over 100 + rounds of mixed target, 00, and slugs and only one FTE and that was on a aluminum target load. The lop will be fine just get comfy with the weapon by doing as much shooting as u can.

Thanks guys. problem right now is that they're hard to find even to try out the lop.

Casper, I saw your ad - but I'm socal. I'll be up your way in a few weeks though, and if it's available then I might be interested.

          thanks all!

Lop or my 930 was a bit too much, searched the net and found a post that someone cut an inch off the stock. Sooo, I did the same and put a limbsaver on the gun, works great and I can blast rounds all day with no sore shoulder!!!
