    New Stoeger Uplander Longfowler!

I think Stoeger makes a nice side by side and over and under for the money. They have some new models called a Longfowler. It has 30" barrels and extended chokes but just comes with the "A" stock.

I was looking at the Uplander Longfowler Side by Side. 30" barrels with extended chokes. Uses Winchester type chokes. Comes in 12 GA & 20GA. Personally I prefer the 20ga. The 12 gauges are a bit heavy and I think for whatever reason the quality in their 20 gauge seems better than the 12ga. Keep in mind on Trap the 12ga shoots 1 oz to 1-/8 oz of shot and the 20ga shoots 7/8 oz. Not much difference!

Should make a nice Trap gun!

The down side is that they don't come with the "AA" stock or the 12-20 or 20-28 Combos.

Yes I know they can't Compete with the Berettas' or Brownings' but for $449 List you can't beat them.

Hope it's ok to bump an year-old thread. I was glad to see another Calgunner took a liking to this value-proposition SxS. The Longfowler has my interest as well. Last I checked, BassPro's website lists them at $399, a fair price. A fine-looking shotgun IMO. I've never handled a shotgun with 30" barrel. I plan on going to BassPro to check it out, see how it handles, feel the weight of it.

Here's a promotional Youtube video that first introduced me to the Longfowler.
