    THE perfect home defense shotgun...

Typical, given the maker. Probably just needs a fluff-and-buff.

Why you stir up the S***t Hank? A lot of guys on here paid $1,500 plus for one and the first one on GB went for $2,995 and many more after that went for $2,400. Heck one guy about three months ago paid $4K for the new one in the Desert Tan. forget Dealer was $650 back when they were paying that. Now all those guys are going to post in how thiers have cycled every thing they fed it and they have fired 100,000 rounds without an issue. You just had start something

I wanted to try one of these out so when i saw a tan one pop up here on calguns I promptly sold off a safe queen and yes i paid a bit more than it was worth. I kept an open mind knowing the likes and dislikes i've read. honestly, I dig the gun. I'm still playing around with it but so far, the size and weight of the thing for my intended purpose of fun and possible hd...it's awesome. It's a tool amongst many tools for a specific set of jobs amongst many jobs. Just my thoughts on it. I believe it's customary to end this type of post with "flame on"

Dose it really matter what firearm is used for home defense? It really comes down to shot placement.

Kinda looks like you really NEED to make the first one count with the KSG. Might not get two...

Mossberg 500 or Maverick 88. They have double extractors making cycling reliable. Also they are made well and inexpensive so you won't lose sleep when police have to take it for evidence when you actually have to use it.

Remington 870 will do just about anything within reason. Home defense, personal defense, hunting, concealed carry (not), open carry, shoots thru doors, zombie countermeasures, and ice cream server. What else do you really need.

I try to be open minded but when I handled one of these at a gun show, it struck me as a flimsy, mostly plastic toy. I did not shoot it so I should probably confine my comments to the build quality looked pretty poor. The prices have definitely veered toward stupid.

Good to see you...where ya been?

                            I didn't start a thing...saw the video and re-posted it here.

I'm completely neutral...it's your money and you should spend it as you wish. It's interesting in that with all the hype, anxiety, lack of production volume and consequent wait time, not to mention price, that it definitely continues KelTec's reputation.

You know I'm partial to Model 37's and BPS's for home defense anyway. They tend to work 101% of the time.
