I want an auto. trap/clay thrower

It's impossible to find an inexpensive, used one in my area

My club has one... I do not know the model #.

Maybe we got a lemon but it will not keep its timing.

It throws 4 or 5 clays and then one will break.

Several of the members are engineers and welders- smart and talented people.

They have spoken with the manufacturer and swapped out some items but the thrower is still finicky.

We move it out of a storage shed for use and then return it to the shed.

Again I don't know if we just got a bad one or if the design does not like it to be moved before / after use.

You can find some for around $600 to $900 new. Most guys cringe at them. But you can probably find $1000 to $1500 used ones for about 10% off if you can find some for sale.

Or look at the Mossberg 930. A little tactical but I have mine in the combo and love it for HD. For trap and clays I prefer my 870 for finish and fit to me.

I'm been thinking about getting one myself. The cheaper ones just throw straight though. I'll probably just wait until next year's SHOT show to make a decision. Hell, at the end of the show, I might even be able to pick up a demo/display unit.

Check out the do all white wing on amazon. I started a thread about auto traps not long ago looking for advice and several members suggested it. It works great haven't had any problems with it. It was about $300 from amazon, your better off getting amazon prime (even if its just the free trial) as this offsets the shipping cost which is a deal killer on this. After that you just need a deep cycle battery amd some clays. Later on if you want to upgrade to the auto wobbler kit you can.

Last month, walmart was selling the ones they have at Cabella's for 4 hundred dollars. Walmart had them in the close out department for 125.
I told one guy at work, he went down with friends and they bought them out.
It was a single stack hook to a battery with a foot pedal.
