No one has a EOTech light on their Mossberg 500/Remington 870?

Can't answer your question directly, but this might help indirectly.

I ran the Surefire version on my 18" 870, and I loved it EXCEPT for how far the flashlight's lens stuck out. I actually ended up dumping it because of that; in my case, and at the range, after even just a few rounds the lens of the Surefire would cloud up with burnt powder. It still worked but based on my totally unscientific tests, if I shot more than say 10 shells (of quality bird or buck) that clouding would cut down on the effectiveness of the light output by about 1/3 or 1/2.

The EOTech lens sits a good 2" back compared to where the Surefire does. Although I haven't tried one, I would guess the EOTech is much less susceptible to that clouding, and therefore would probably not fog up nearly as bad if at all.

        Food for though.
